Quick Thoughts On Last Night

Grace Potter is going to be a star. Sure she's going to get the inevitable Norah Jones comparisons, but they should read something like this....Grace Potter & The Nocturnals are like Norah Jones meets Crazy Horse. Really dug their set. Go buy their cd!

As for Mike Gordon & Ramble Dove. Thought it was a great show, though a bit on the long side. They came on around 10:30 and played two sets which ended around 1:20ish. I think they should have stuck to one long set instead of two, but the band was having a lot of fun up there. They played a mix of twangy country tunes both covers and originals. And if you haven't heard already Ernie stopped by and sat in for most of the show - which was an added bonus and so was the raging Possum in the second set.

When the torrent is up I'll post it. Definitely worth giving a listen to.
