So it all comes down to tonight a Game 1 rematch of Moose vs. Colon. Hopefully the Yanks can repeated what they did a little less then a week ago in Cali and send us to the ALCS. Yanks need to get their bats to wake up a bit, they managed to only get four hits the entire game and two that barely left the infield last night. Come on guys we were second in the league in home runs, lets get some balls to leave the yard tonight. Both Chacon and Lackey pitched brilliantly last night, but I think that the Angels have been stretching Sheilds and Escobar a bit thin over the course of this series. Moose needs to give us a solid five to six innings and then I believe we'll see some combination of Randy Johnson, Aaron Small, Tom Gordon and Mo to close it out.
On another note why is it that every time that A-Rod comes up to bat everyone's chanting 'MVP', but no one does that when Mo comes into the game?? Yes A-Rod's numbers are quit impressive - he's had a hell of a year, but if I had a vote for AL MVP it would definitely go to Mariano Rivera - at the very least give this guy the CY Young Award.
Let's get some solid pitching and an early lead tonight - I want to be watching baseball for a few more weeks this October.
Go Yanks!!!!
