Syd Barrett the long reclusive and oft rumored to be in an acid induced haze founding member of Pink Floyd died at the age of 60. Details about his death are just starting to surface - you can read about it here, here and here.
Barrett only recorded one album with Pink Floyd their seminal psychedelic classic The Piper At The Gates Of Dawn - but released several solo albums as well.
