Music News Wrap Up And Other Randomness

Check out LVM for a round-up of his stories of the week - here.

Jenny Lewis tickets went on sale today for a bunch of her spring tour dates. I'll definitely be at the Irving Plaza show on 3/18 - can't wait for that.

Starting tonight at 7:30 NPR will be streaming Colin Meloy's (of The Decemberists) show from The Birchmere with Laura Veirs - read about it here. They will be offering MP3 downloads of the show as well.

Over at My Old Kentucky Blog you can download the title track from Eef Barzelay's (of Clem Snide) forthcoming solo acoustic disc Bitter Honey. The albums hits streets on 2/21 - looking forward to hearing it - I really dig Clem Snide. Actually got a chance to see Eef do a solo set a few years back opening for Dan Bern and it was great.

Van Morrison has got a country album coming out on March 7th titled Pay The Devil - the album will contain 12 classic country tunes and three originals. Van the Man will do a really short U.S. tour - just five dates - in support of it, before heading back to Europe to finish out his tour there. Read about it here.
