Just going to keep it simple for the inaugural post and talk about the recent success of the New York Yankees. For a team that looked pretty much dead in the water about a month or so ago it's pretty amazing that this team is only 1/2 game out of first place. The Yanks only had two starting pitchers going into their weekend series against the BoSox. TWO STARTERS!!!!! And they somehow managed to take three out of four. Yes they did sign former Yankee Al Leiter, who pitched better then expected on Sunday night. But TWO STARTERS and they took three out of four against the first place Sox. Over the last month this team has finally showed they have some fight in them and have battled back when down. Should be a great rest of the summer of Yankee fans.
One more Yankee note. How good is Robinson Cano?? Watching the game tonight against Texas they threw out a stat saying that he's hitting something like .380 on the road. Insane. Just give him the Rookie of the Year Award right now he deserves it. Gotta love this kid.
