Aquarium Drunkard has a couple track from the upcoming M. Ward album Post War - which hits stores on August 29th. Check it out here.
The people over at Showtime are doing something pretty cool with the theme song to their show Weeds. Each week a different artist will sing their own version Malvina Reynolds "Little Boxes" - first up is Elvis Costello which you can listen to here. Other artists include Death Cab For Cutie, Regina Spektor, Jenny Lewis and Tim DeLaughter from The Polyphonic Spree. (thanks to Stereogum for pointing out the link)
Speaking of covers head on over to Cable & Tweed for Devotchka's take on The Velvet Underground's "Venus In Furs" - here. Also Fresh Bread has got Medeski, Scofield, Martin and Wood's version of the Peter Tosh classic "Legalize It" off their upcoming album Out Louder (which comes out on September 26th) - listen to that here.
Finally Rock Daily is list crazy - head here for their lists of everything from Best Summor Songs '06 to Snake Songs to Bands With The Best Posthumous Careers and more.
